Sanya MSA in Hainan Province has taken multiple measures to ensure the construction of Hainan International Tourist Island.

 

Driven by the construction of Hainan International Tourist Island, the number of ships carrying construction materials and entering the jurisdiction of Sanya MSA is increasing. Figures show that during the past two months, Sanya MSA has processed ships visa for 422 times and totally 314,723-ton construction materials have been shipped there, increased by 125% and 50 % respectively year on year. 904,959 tourists have been transported by waterway and 190,971ship- times of tourist ships have applied for ship visa, increased by 118% and 32% respectively than the same period last year.

 

In response to the rapid increase in vessel and passenger volume, Sanya MSA has taken several measures to ensure the maritime safety: first, ship endorsement around the clock, to save time for mariners; second, strict examination before issuing ship visa in spite of the increasing ship flow; third, higher administrative efficiency by enhancing communication and coordination among departments.
