Fifth Pan North Bay Economic Cooperation Forum Opens

Fifth Pan North Bay Economic Cooperation Forum was held August 12 to 13 in Nanning, Guangxi. According to sources from the Forum Organizing Committee officials, the forum is divided into three topics, namely: China - ASEAN Free Trade Area established and Nanning - Singapore Passage, 500 North Gulf Dialogue - Pan-Tonkin Gulf economic cooperation in the international investment and industrial development, the Pan-Tonkin Gulf shipping, port, logistics cooperation.

 

Deputy Secretary-General of the Fifth Pan North Bay Economic Cooperation Forum Organizing Committee Chen Ruixian, introduced the Pan Northern Gulf Economic Cooperation Forum has been successfully held for 4 times since 2006. More than 400 politicians, academics and business  have focused on the theme of "China - ASEAN Free Trade Zone and the Pan-Tonkin Gulf economic cooperation".

 

According to Mr. Chen, the forum has placed the importance on promoting practical cooperation among ASEAN countries, such as the cooperation in transport, port and logistics industries.
