China Strengthens Transport Cooperation with Four Countries

Minister of Transport Li Shenglin inked a series of MOUs with his counterparts in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Greece and Austria, when accompanying the Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Dejiang's visit to the four countries from June 9 to June 22.
Witnessed by Vice Primer Zhang and leaders of relevant countries, Minister Li singed a MOU with his counterpart in Pakistan on cooperation in port construction and management training, a MOU with Sri Lanka on port infrastructure construction cooperation, a MOU with Greece on cooperation in shipbuilding and maritime technology, and a MOU with Austria on technical cooperation in road transport, civil aviation, coastal and inland transport.
Vice premier Zhang attached great importance to transport cooperation between China and the four countries, which was also the focus of his visit. This visit has highlighted the importance of transport in international economic and technical cooperation, and is certain to enhance bilateral transport cooperation between China and relevant countries.
