  • 2nd LNG & Tankers Ship Safety Management Workshop organized by China MSA held in Shanghai

     

     

    The second LNG & Tankers Ship Safety Management Workshop, organized by China Maritime Safety Administration and sponsored by Malaysia International Shipping Company (MISC) was held in Shanghai on August 20 to 22. Singhai Marine Services (Singapo) Pte Ltd and Singapore (Nantong) International Maritime institute (SNIMI) contributed full support to this event.

    The aim of this workshop is to improve the capability of special inspection for LNG ship among Chinese ship safety inspectors and also to promote profound friendship between China and Malaysia. The training of this workshop is generously sponsored by Malaysia International Shipping Company (MISC). Different from past trainings, this workshop also offers real ship presentation and practice. On August 21, PSCOs from competent authorities of various Maritime Safety Administrations arrived at Yangshan Port and boarded MISC‘s LNG ship Puteri Firus Satu. During the whole visit, the captain and chief engineer show all of the PSCOs around in the LNG ship, and gave a detailed explanation about operation and structure of the whole ship. All the participants said they benefited a lot from this workshop.
