  • Unmanned Multifunctional Maritime Ships Research and Development Project Passed the Acceptance

    The key research project “Unmanned Multifunctional Maritime Ships Research and Development Project” of Maritime Safety Administration of People’s Republic of China got unanimous approval from Acceptance Expert Group on Jul. 31.

    The Project was set up in 2012 and implemented and organized by the project management unit of Zhejiang MSA with Wuhan University of Technology as project undertaking unit. After 3 years, the project has completed the development and won 4 national patents at present.

    The Project realizes all-day networked sea supervision, intelligent cruise and rescue, motorized multipoint coverage by shore-vessel based detection and control platform managing a certain amount of unmanned cruise and rescue vessels on a low-cost basis, which effectively improved the ability and efficiency in maritime cruise and rescue.

    It is reported that unmanned multifunctional maritime ships is an international development trend of widespread use. It can be used in our maritime system, as well as the systems of ocean, fishery administration, weather, border defense, military, etc.
