On the morning of July 14, 2023, Li Hongyin, Deputy Director General, China Maritime Safety Administration (MSA) met in Beijing with a delegation led by Capt.Rajalingam Subramaniam, the President/Group Chief Executive Officer of MISC Berhad.
Li Hongyin welcomed Subramaniam and his delegation's visit and stated that China MSA attaches great importance to developing maritime cooperation relations with ASEAN member countries, including Malaysia. As a world-renowned shipping enterprise, MISC has rich experience in ship safety management. We appreciate MISC’s support in the cooperation process of LNG ship safety management training between China and Malaysia maritime authorities; At present, new technologies in the international shipping field are developing rapidly, and China MSA is increasing its efforts to cultivate talents. We hope to further strengthen business exchanges with MISC and have confidence in expanding our cooperation areas.
Subramaniam thanked the leaders of China MSA for taking the time to meet and stated that MISC, as an international shipping group and a member of many well-known industry organizations, has established 12 offices worldwide and has always attached great importance to and actively dispatched experts to China to carry out exchanges and cooperation with the shipping industry. It is pleased to see the maritime cooperation foundation of China and Malaysia continue to consolidate, and looks forward to further deepening cooperation with China MSA to jointly promote the sustainable development of the international shipping industry.
The meeting was accompanied by the representatives from relevant departments of Department of of International Cooperation, Ministry of Transport and China MSA.
