The 2022 Shandong Fishery Safety Production Emergency Response Exercise was held at Dongying Port, at 9 am, July 27. The exercise was cohosted by Shandong MSA, Shandong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Shandong Provincial Emergency Management Department, Shandong Coast Guard and Municipal Government of Dongying City. 

 

1 helicopter and 12 vessels were mobilized and about 150 people participated or watched. The exercise covered typhoon emergency response, search and rescue, firefighting response and oil spill response of fishing boats. By combining the fishery safety mechanism of emergency response and exercise, the exercise helped response personnel master response procedures and improve their operational skills. At the same time, the exercise improved the inter-departmental coordination abilities and set a foundation for efficient response to maritime emergencies.
